Two apps, made and published

Created by Legazione’s founder, Mohammad Abdallah, and published on the App Store under his name.

MealMind: Arabic & English

Cooking is the one time a phone is hardest to use: hands are busy, the screen locks, and a cook who reads Arabic is often following a recipe written in English.

  • Both languages are complete. Every recipe, ingredient and step exists in Arabic and in English, and the Arabic interface reads right to left.
  • A cooking mode reads each step aloud and runs the timers, so the phone can stay on the counter.
  • Everything works offline and without an account, so nothing depends on a signal in the kitchen.
MealMind in Arabic: a paprika chicken and rice recipe with its rating, cooking times, calories and nutrition, under the heading “Every recipe in Arabic and English”. MealMind in Arabic: the recipe’s ingredients, each with a picture, and buttons to add them to the shopping list or to the plan, under the heading “Ingredients with pictures and a shopping list”.

Aurora Sudoku

A sudoku app has to settle two questions before anything else: whether there are enough puzzles to keep playing, and whether each one is sound.

  • A fixed, graded library: 600 puzzles, 150 at each of four difficulties, each with exactly one solution.
  • A new challenge each day alongside the library, so there is always a fresh puzzle to come back to.
  • Play as a guest with nothing to sign up for, or sign in and carry the same progress between devices.

Questions

Do you build for iPhone only?

No. Cross-platform applications are part of the work. The two apps published so far are for iPhone.

Can an app connect to systems we already run?

Yes. Backend-connected application interfaces, and integration with the systems a business already uses, are part of the work.

What happens after the app is released?

Maintenance and feature development can continue after release, as an ongoing support engagement where the app needs one.
