It loads no scripts, fonts or other files from other companies’ servers, and it stores nothing in your browser.

When you send a message, we receive your name, your email address, your organization if you give one, the topic you choose and your message. We use this information only to read and answer your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list or sell your details. Our hosting and email providers process this information only as needed to host the site, store your message and deliver email.

Your message is sent to our email inbox. A copy is also stored on our web server, together with your IP address and the time it was sent, so that an enquiry is not lost if an email fails. The server also keeps a short technical log of form submissions, including the IP address, to detect and stop automated abuse. To limit repeated submissions, it keeps a record of recent submissions for each connection, identified by a one-way hash of the IP address rather than the address itself, and deletes that record within two days.

Stored copies of messages and the form’s technical log entries are deleted automatically 12 months after they were written. Messages delivered to our email inbox may be retained for longer where they form part of business correspondence and are deleted when they are no longer reasonably needed.

We use the details you send to answer your enquiry and, if you ask, to take the first steps toward working together. Where data protection law asks for a legal basis, these are ours: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us.

The IP addresses in the form’s log and in the server logs are kept for our legitimate interest in keeping the site and the form secure. We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles.

Like any website, the server that hosts this site records technical information about requests, such as IP addresses, the pages requested, the time and the browser type, in order to operate and secure the service. These access logs are kept by our hosting provider under its own retention settings, and are used only to run and protect the site.

Legazione LLC is a United States company. Our hosting and email providers store the information described here on their servers, which may be in the United States or in other countries. If you write to us from another country, including from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your information is processed outside that country so that we can answer you.

You can ask what information we hold about you and for a copy of it, including in a portable form. You can ask us to correct it, delete it or limit how we use it, and you can object to our using it. Write to hello@legazione.com; we answer within the time the law sets.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe we have not handled your information lawfully, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
